This cheeseburger pasta is a filling recipe of beef mince and pasta covered in a tomato sauce and topped with melted cheese, bacon and gherkins. All the flavours of a bacon cheeseburger in a pasta dish!
If you love cheeseburgers and also happen to love pasta I think you will definitely love this Cheeseburger Pasta recipe. I actually first made this dish a few weeks ago and posted a pic on Instagram where a few people commented on how good it looked. So I decided to make it again and share the recipe with you. Any excuse to make it again as it not only tastes good ts also really easy to make. Plus this dish is syn free if you use the cheese as your Hex A allowance. If not, then please remember to syn it. It has a lot less syns than a cheeseburger meal than *enter burger chain of choice* but it packs a lot more taste! Not too keen on pasta? Then check out my Burger and Fries recipe. It’s quite similar but made with home made chips instead of pasta.

Add 2 tablespoons of water to a large pan or spray with frylight and place over a medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-5 minutes to soften. Then add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
Add the mince and cook until browned.
In another pan boil the pasta as directed on the packet. Then drain.
Add the tinned tomatoes, tomato puree, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper to the mince. Stir well to mix through.
Then add the cooked pasta. Stir well to coat all of the pasta.
Place the bacon medallions under a medium grill. Once cooked remove from grill and chop.
Put the mince and pasta mixture into a large oven proof dish and add the grated cheese. Stick the dish under the grill under the cheese has melted.
Add the chopped bacon, tomatoes, gherkins and fresh parsley on top before serving.
Serve with some shredded iceberg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, red onion and cucumber on the side for some added speed food.
