It’s the start of the new year and for some people the start of a diet or healthy eating. Maybe you are looking to improve your diet with eating more nutritious food or you have started a weight loss diet such as Slimming World. Slimming World is an easy to follow diet, there is no calorie counting and very little weighing of foods. On the diet you eat lean meat, fish, eggs, pasta, rice, grains, vegetables, fruit and fat free dairy. You can even have some crisps, chocolate or ice cream as a treat. As long as your plate is filled with at least a third of fruit/vegetables (speed food) and you move around a bit ie go for regular walks (to the fridge and back isn’t counted), running or an exercise class then the weight should come off easily. Whether you are new to Slimming World or trying to get back on track hopefully this Slimming World meal plan will help give you some ideas.
I have made a meal plan below with what I will be eating for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner this week. I’ve not included any snacks on the meal plan although I’m pretty sure I will still be having a few treats throughout the week. For me personally I find that I lose weight faster if my plate is half filled with fruit and veg instead of a third and do exercise classes 2-3 times a week. This way I’ve lost around 2-2.5lbs a week. If I don’t do any exercise then I tend to only lose around 0.5lb. I used to enjoy going to Jazzercise but due to Covid (Hello Level 4!) they aren’t happening at the moment. I have found on You Tube some Dance Fitness videos by Jamie Kinkeade that looks really good. Although I will be easing myself into these slowly after more than a year of no exercise. There are even some walking exercise videos that you can do indoors if that’s more your thing.
