These Banana and Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats are the perfect grab and go breakfast. Make this recipe the night before and it’s ready to eat when you wake up in the morning. It’s gluten & dairy free too!
Now that I have a little human to look after I am finding it hard to find time to eat properly. This particular little human appears to have a sixth sense when I’m about to eat something and will cry/demand feeding/require a nappy change just as I’m about to sit down to eat! This means that if it’s something hot you can guarantee it will be freezing cold by the time I’m able to eat it. This Banana & Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats is perfect for when that happens. As it’s cold anyway, it doesn’t matter if I am interrupted by a screaming baby halfway through eating it.
I have already done an Overnight Oats post previously with Apple & Cinnamon so you could always give that one a try too.
I used gluten free oats and almond milk for this Banana & Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats recipe but you can use any type of milk (cow, hazelnut, coconut, etc) or even yoghurt if you wish. It just takes five minutes to make, then shove it in the fridge overnight and it’s ready for you to eat in the morning. I used a Kilner jar for this but you can just as easily use a bowl if you prefer.

Add your oats, chopped banana, chia seeds, chocolate chips and maple syrup to a kilner jar.
Leave in the fridge overnight and your Banana & Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats will be ready to eat in the morning.
