Oh hello! Remember me? It’s been a while since I pressed publish on this blog but I took a few weeks out due to work being excessively busy as well as other stuff going on in the background, there was no time to myself other than eat, work, sleep, repeat. I had hoped to get back into blogging a couple of weeks ago but we had an unexpected death in the family so I didn’t particularly feel like blogging then. Now though I’m back and having missed last month’s What I’m Loving (because all I did was bloody work and let’s be honest who really loves that?!) here is what I am loving in July.
At the end of May I was at a VIP evening at The Body Shop where I picked up a few things including this cleansing butter at a 30% discount. I found that the Camomile cleansing butter was excellent at removing all your make up and grime at the end of a long day. As the name suggests it is solid but it melts into a lovely oil when you rub it into your skin, taking off all your make up and leaves your skin feeling soft. I do sometimes get dry patches of skin but since using this product I have had none, so this gets a huge thumbs up from me. At £10 it’s not too pricey and I’ve used around half a tin so far in just over a month as a little goes a long way.
I am probably a few years behind on this one but I just started watching Mad Men, a drama set in New York in the 1960s. As I’m such a vintage lover I have been lusting over the clothes that they wear on the show as well as all their furniture and accessories that they have in their homes. I want to go and live on the set of there!! Also random fact but there is a character on there called Freddie Rumsen whose wife is called Violet. And what are my cats called…..Freddie and Violet, how weird is that?!
Being a huge crisp fiend I am always on the look out for new savoury snacks to try and I think I have just found my new favourite, Thai Sweet Chilli Velvet Crunch. They have a spicy but sweet flavour to them and as they are air popped they have a different texture than crisps. These tasty morsels are only 84 kcal for a 20g bag and are air popped rather than fried so a much healthier choice of crisps.
What things have you been loving this month?
Good to see a post from you Dee! Omgosh I love Mad Men! I was so sad when the series ended in 2015! Great show!
