A couple of weeks ago I was invited along to the Body Shop’s VIP night with some other Aberdeen bloggers where we had some drinks and nibbles while we browsed their products. We were even getting 30% off our purchases! How good an offer is that?! A very good one it would seem as I ended up buying more than what I had intended to. Most of these products are new to me having never tried them before but now that I have I will let you know what I thought of them.
Who doesn’t love a freebie? As well as getting a massive 30% off on the night we also got a goodie bag with a Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel and a Shea Body Scrub. The Shower Gel has a lovely citrusy smell to it and the Shea scent is equally delicious.
One of the new products the Body Shop have out at the moment is the Drops of Youth Liquid Peel. We got to try out this gel exfoliator on the back of our hands, rubbing it into your skin produces grey clumps of dead skin that I found both disgusting and fascinating in equal measures. So obviously I had to buy some! I also picked up some of their eye concentrate too, it has a roller ball applicator and is meant to smooth away your eye wrinkles. You apply it around the eye area in a figure of 8 shape and it has a lovely cooling feeling when you use it. I was just about to run out of my moisturiser and there was such a huge selection to choose from so in the end I picked up the Nutriganics Smoothing Day Cream. I have only used this a few times but it makes your skin feel really soft.
The British Rose scent is my current favourite fragrance from the Body Shop. It is not one of those nasty synthetic smells that your Great-Granny would wear but a delicate floral scent. I have got a few other products in the range so I picked up the bath foam and hand cream too. Along with the body exfoliator and body butter I smell like a rose garden when I use all these products.
Saving the best for last is this Camomile Cleansing Butter. I first heard about this product from Laura who raved about it on Instagram and said what a fantastic cleanser it was. You know what, she was right! I love it! It is a solid cleanser but a small dollop on your fingers goes a long way. Apply it to your skin and it just melts away all the make up and grime on your skin, then rinse it off with a muslin cloth.
What’s your favourite Body Shop product?
I think I need to try the drops of youth peel, sounds great!
Nice Haul! I haven’t tried anything from The Body Shop, but I hear so many positive reviews about their products!
