One of the best things about losing weight is the feeling of your clothes getting looser and then having to buy some new ones a size smaller. I have dropped a dress size already so obviously I just had to buy some new clothes! This clothing haul was purchased over 6 weeks and comes from New Look, Zara and Top Shop.
New Look used to be a store I stayed well clear of but in the last couple of years they have really upped their game with their clothes and accessories. Their things are bang on trend as well as being affordable and when they do sales you can grab yourself a right bargain. The gingham trend is something that I’m loving right now and this top with the ruffles down either side found its way into my online shopping basket. As did the black blazer. Pairing this top with my black jeans and red Zara shoes gives it a smart casual look.
I had wanted this tunic dress in the pale pink paisley pattern but sadly it was just the small sizes that were left. Maybe that’s not a bad thing as I am one of those clumsy people who always misses their mouth when eating/drinking and end up with half their dinner down them. At least with the black version some stains will be hidden! I bought a size down in this dress but it is mahoosive around the waist. I used a butterfly chain belt that I bought many years ago from Oasis to bring in the waist a bit and to make it less sack like. The pattern and flared sleeves gives it a boho look. The ankle boots were another New Look purchase and were in the sale for £12, such a bargain.
Eeeek! An outfit shot! I have to ask, people who pose for outfit shots how do you make it look natural? I felt a right tw@t standing there while Steff took photos of me. It didn’t help that it was bloody freezing nor that we were trying to take them in between people walking past. This outfit is also from New Look, promise I am not sponsored by them! The jeans I bought in the January sales but were a bit on the tight side but now they fit well. You may have already seen my rose gold trainers in my What I’m Loving in March post but this was the distressed white tee and pink anorak’s first appearance.
A more dressier look is this silver grey pleated midi skirt from TopShop Petite range. I have yet to wear this outfit as I’ve been too tired to go out but hopefully it gets an outing soon. I’ve paired it with a plain strappy black top but the bejewelled bag adds a touch of bling to it.
