The Body Shop Haul Summer 2018

I was invited to The Body Shop’s Aberdeen blogger event the other week where they were showcasing their new products such as body yogurts and facial mists to name a few.  On our arrival we were given a choice of fizz or juices well as a goody bag.  We were told all about the new products before being let loose around the shop.

The new body yogurts are vegan and provides up to 48 hours moisture, these yogurts are much more lightweight in texture compared to body creams and absorb straight away rather than leaving your skin sticky for a while. They come in 5 different scents, whether the fruity smells of mango or strawberry are your thing or if you want a more subtle fragrance then there is almond milk or moringa for you to try.  I went for the British Rose scent which is my current favourite smell from The Body Shop.  These are priced at £8.50 each.

Their new face mists are also vegan and come in coco calming, strawberry smoothing, mandarin energising, mint mattifying and rose dewy glow and are £6 each.  You can use these either over make up or under make up as well as using them when you are make up free.  We were lucky enough to receive one of these face mists in our goodie bags along with a shower gel.  The coco calming one was in mine and smells delicious with the coconut water and aloe vera scents coming through.

So what did I buy? Well I only intended to buy just a couple of things and I ended up coming out with a few extras, you know as you do!  First on my list was the British Rose scented products so the new body yogurt went straight in my basket along with the hand cream.  I picked up the new limited edition one with its brightly patterned tube.  Since I no longer get a full nights sleep and unlikely to get one for quite a while I picked up the Drops of Youth Bouncy Eye Mask.  You can either apply this as an overnight mask three times a week or apply it daily around your eye contour.

I do love my lip gloss so their Shine Lip Liquid in Blueberry Chew with its pretty metallic pink tube was also in my basket.  It is a lovely subtle colour but you could apply it over a lipstick for shiny lips.  I bought their Super Volume Mascara at Christmas but didn’t really like it as I felt it didn’t add as much volume as my others had.  I thought that I would give the Lash Hero Fibre Extension in London Jet a try.  It is a double sided mascara with a wand with white fibres at one end and mascara at the other end.  Not going to lie, applying what is basically white fluff to your lashes is a bit weird but it does make your lashes look thicker and longer once the mascara has been applied.

If we purchased over £20 we were getting a free cosmetic bag with 3 minis. There was a Mango Hand Cream, Olive and Satsuma Shower Gel minis in mine.

Apologies for the late reply, I approved your comment and then I forgot to reply 🙄 I’ve not tried the seaweed clay will need to check it out. Do love their body butters though, leave your skin lovely and soft don’t they? xx

Love this! Hopefully, there will be a blogging event for me closer to home so I can go! I am OBSESSED with the Pink Grapefruit range – I will eventually end up as a pink grapefruit one day! Xxx

The Body Shop are really good for hosting Blogger events as are Lush. Do you have a FB Page for your local bloggers? That’s where a lot of our events get posted as someone will contact a blogger to let them know and it shared on there. I do like the Pink Grapefruit range, it’s very refreshing but I’m a Granny at heart I think as nothing beats the British Rose scent 😂 xx
