I used to love nachos whether they were fully loaded with BBQ chicken, chilli or just plain with lots of melted cheese on them as long as they had plenty of salsa, guacamole and soured cream to go with them I was happy. Fast forward a few years and as I can no longer eat dairy I miss the cheesey happiness that those little triangles used to give me. I was in Tesco the other day in the Free From aisle to buy some coconut milk when I spied a bag of free from grated mozzarella cheese! Getting probably way too excited about cheese than I should be I picked it up along with a packet of their Jalapeño and Chilli free from cheese too. Dairy free grated cheese means that I can have pizza (on a gluten free base, obvs), pasta and of course, dairy free nachos!
These would be ideal for a night in watching a film, having a party or if you just fancy pigging out!! I actually ate these just before heading to my Slimming World weigh in #sorrynotsorry. They only take a few minutes to prepare and around 10-15 minutes to cook so they will be ready in no time. If you are short on time you can pick up the Mexican style dips while you are shopping or you can make the homemade versions of salsa and guacamole by clicking on the link.
If you try out this recipe or anything else from my blog, I’d really love to hear any feedback!

Ooo, these look tasty!! I might have to try these, except I won’t put the olives on as Tom isn’t a fan!! Thanks for sharing X
No problem 🙂 Not many people seem to like olives, maybe I’m the only weirdo that puts them on nachos xx
I love, love, LOVE natchos, especially cheesy ones. These I can have later at night without fear of cheese-infused crazy dreams 😀

Never thought on that Katja, definitely no cheese-infused nightmares with these nachos 🙂 xx
Oh my gosh! I need to try this, looks so yummy!
I absolutely love nachos! I could live only with nachos haha.
I’m definitely trying this recipe, although – I’m dropping the olives when I do 😀
Haha yes a lot of people hate olives and see them as food of the devil 🙂 Nachos are definitely a food to live on
One, your pictures make me want to break my screen and grab that bowl of nachos! And, two what an easy-peasy and delicious recipe! I can’t wait to try it! 🙂

Thanks Prerna 🙂 It really is easy to make and tastes really good too!
Looks really appealing….I’ll definitely be trying this
This does look yummy. Guess I would have to know how the vegan cheese tasted. My only problem with non dairy cheeses is that they often taste grainy.
I hear what you are saying and I have tried some minging dairy free cheeses in my life but this one actually tastes really nice. Ok, its never going to have the ‘proper’ cheesey taste like real cheese but its not far off it 🙂
I’ve never had olives on nachos before! I might not be dairy free but still picking up some good tips 😉
