Homeware Haul

20/08/2014

I have neglected my blog lately due to being ill and also having a quick trip into hospital for a minor procedure but I have a few more posts lined up so hopefully you will forgive me for my absence :)!  I have bought quite a few things in the sales as well as things that were not, so I will start with my Homeware buys in this post and will do a clothing haul in my next one.

You will probably notice that a lot of these things have come from Next as that is where we buy a lot of our Homeware from as their things are not too expensive and also really nice.

For our Kitchen I bought:

These Tweet Tweet mugs and mug tree.  This goes with the canisters that I bought for my Diy Tea/Coffee Station.

I decided that we needed a new dinner set as although our last set was only 2 years old the side plates were black and scratched so I won’t buy coloured plates ever again.  I saw this lovely dinner set and thought that it would go well with the other things that I bought.

Another thing that I got in the Next sale was a Cupcake/Donut/Cake Pop maker for a bargain £15! I haven’t used it yet but look out for some sweet treats on the blog soon!

We decided that we needed a new Kettle and Toaster.  This was not from Next but from Argos.  It is a lovely cream colour……..have you noticed a theme occurring in our Kitchen yet?

For our Living Room:

I like to change the look of our Living Room every few months by changing the cushions, curtains and ornaments so we don’t get fed up of seeing the same colours and things all the time.  For the Autumn months, I change the curtains and cushions to orange and use co-ordinating colours of ornaments so they will be coming out of storage very soon but when I saw these cute owls I thought they would go well in our “Autumn Look” Living Room so I just had to buy them!

I thought this Owl Door Stop was adorable.  I couldn’t see him on their website but he was £12.

This Owl Tealight Holder appealed to me with their See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil poses.

I wasn’t looking for anymore tea light holders as I have enough already but when I saw these cute glass owls I just had to take them home with me.  Again these aren’t on their website but they were £6 each.

For our Bedroom:

I haven’t bought new bedding in quite a while and have been looking out for a new set for a couple of months as I couldn’t find any nice ones with teal in them.  I came across this lovely set with butterflies on them for £35.

So that is all of my Homeware buys!  What is your favourite store for buying Homeware goods?  Did you manage to get any bargains?

Spread the love

  1. Oh I love a good homeware haul! I'd rather buy stuff for the house than myself. That dinner set is beautiful too and I'm on the hunt for a new set for the new place (I can't justify the price of the Disney one 🙁 )
    Love the owl stuff too!

Me too, I tend to buy more stuff for the home rather than me. It didn't use to be like that though as clothes, make up, nights out etc were always on the top of the list, not sure what happened….old age I think :)!! I hope you get your new dinner set soon, Disney things are lovely but sometimes the price is a bit high for what it is. Might be in their sale later on in the year? Xx

I love Next too, i just ordered some new furniture for the living room from there yesterday. Those cups are so cute, my mum spied them when she was looking through my catalogue.

Thank you Belle! It will be worth waiting forever for your new home, just wait and see :)! I hope you will be doing a haul when your new furniture arrives, I love being nosy and seeing what people have. Our living room furniture is from there too, hasn't fallen to bits yet after nearly four years so that's good 🙂 xx
