Banana & Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats

Now that I have a little human to look after I am finding it hard to find time to eat properly as this particular little human appears to have a sixth sense when I’m about to eat something and will cry/demand feeding/require  a nappy change just as I’m about to sit down to eat!  This means that if it’s something hot you can guarantee it will be freezing cold by the time I’m able to eat it.  This Banana & Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats are perfect for when this happens as it’s cold anyway so it doesn’t matter if I am interrupted by a screaming baby halfway through eating it.

I have already done an Overnight Oats post previously (lol at my photos back then, will need to update them!) with Apple & Cinnamon so you could always give that one a try too.

I used gluten free oats and almond milk for my recipe but you can use any type of milk (cow, hazelnut, coconut, etc) or even yoghurt if you wish.  It just takes five minutes to make, then shove it in the fridge overnight and it’s ready for you to eat in the morning.  I used a Kilner jar for this but you can just as easily use a bowl if you prefer.

What you will need:

1/2 Cup of Oats

Milk (of your choice) or Yoghurt

Chia Seeds 1 x tablespoon

Small Banana mashed or chopped

Dark Chocolate Chips x 2 tablespoons

Maple Syrup x 2 teaspoons

Kilner Jar or Bowl

How to make:

Add your oats, chopped banana, chia seeds, chocolate chips and maple syrup to your kilner jar.

Top up the jar with the milk/yoghurt and give it a good stir so that the liquid is mixed right through.

Leave in the fridge overnight and your Banana & Chocolate Chip Overnight Oats will be ready to eat in the morning.

It really is that easy!
