You may have noticed that I have been very quiet recently on my blog as well as my other social media platforms and the reason being is……..

Pregnancy Announcement

Yes, I am pregnant!  Three words that I never ever thought I would get to say.  It’s taken quite a few years to get here, 13 years to be exact and it is only just sinking in now that I am growing a human (and realising how tiring that is too!).

Pregnancy Announcement

I am currently 13 weeks pregnant and the last 9 weeks has been spent:

Pregnancy Announcement

Now that I am approaching my second trimester I can let out a tiny sigh of relief that the higher risk stage is now over.  I can now look forward to the increase in energy and the pregnancy glow that the books promise this trimester to be all about!!

Due March 2018

If you have been pregnant what did you spend your first trimester doing?

  1. Congratulations! Embrace the bump and the whole eating-for-two thing while it lasts, I’ve heard women say they miss it haha!

Thank you! 😊 Yes I have heard that people miss their bump but I’m sure by the time you are full term and waddling around everywhere that you would be glad when it’s gone. I’m definitely embracing the eating for two 😂

Aww! Congratulations. This is wonderful news. I am so happy for you!
I think I spent the first trimester doing mostly the same. I worried so much and had all day sickness not just morning sickness. lol x

    • Denise says:

Thank you 😊! All day sickness sounds horrific, spending your time with your head down the toilet and not being able to eat much must be the worst thing about pregnancy (well apart from the birth part!!) I bet you were glad when that symptom was gone.

Congrats Dee! I’m so happy for you, and I know you’re going to make a great mother! 🙂

Wishing you all the best, absolutely wonderful news Denise! I had to take steroids too, they are a pain! Hope the rest of your pregnancy is more comfortable for you. So happy for you and your husband, I am sure your journey gives hope to many others as well. xo

    • Denise says:

Thank you 😊! Today is my last day for the steroids so I’m going to do a little dance as I take it 😂 So glad that they will be finished. It just shows you should never give up on what you really want as it can happen xx

I’ve just managed to read your blog updates, I am so happy for you Denise! Thirteen years of trials (so sorry!) and look at this great gift that you’ve been given now 🙂
Embrace the pregnancy with all its ups and downs let that be weight gain, cravings or constant peeing. This is a fantastic experience and congrats on having a wee boy x
